The docuseries, titled "The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears," took a look at the controversial conservatorship Spears has been under since 2008. The latest person to speak out about the Framing Britney Spears documentary from the New York Times that debuted on FX and Hulu last month is…Britney Spears herself. “I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in,” wrote Spears in a Tuesday evening Instagram post. “I cried for two weeks and well….I still cry sometimes!!!!” The documentary has sparked a rolling social media conversation about the singer’s treatment by the media and by other celebrities. It comes amid an ongoing legal case between Spears and her father in which the singer seeks to regain control of her finances.
