Nick Cannon and Bre Tiesi’s son needed ‘respiratory support’ after birth - Page Six
Nick Cannon and Bre Tiesi’s son, Legendary, needed “respiratory support” after his birth.
The couple’s baby was born with a “long crown” which was caused by a nuchal hand, or a hand by his ear, Tiesi revealed during an 11-minute birth video posted on Monday.
“I noticed he wasn’t crying,” the model said, adding that their midwife used an air tube on the newborn and when he finally began to cry, it was “the best sound I ever heard.”
Last month, the real estate agent documented her “unmedicated home birth” for YouTube, warning viewers the clips were “intense” and “a little graphic.”
In the video, Tiesi, 31 desperately tried to induce her labor before Cannon, 41, had to travel across the country for work for an unknown amount of time.
The new mom, who was in labor for 10 hours, explained in the video that she was quickly “humbled” by the “intensity of birth.”
She added, “This was the most limit pushing/painful moment yet completely empowering and beautiful.
“The intensity of birth takes over your whole body and I swear I was pushing so hard screaming and crying I started to break, I started doubting I could do it I kept saying why won’t he come, get him out.”
“At a certain point I had left my body I didn’t remember a lot of my birth until my team sat with me to process my birth which I felt was soo healing and helpful,” she continued before thanking her “amazing partner,” Cannon, for his support in the process.
Legendary was born on June 28 at 1:28 a.m. PT and weighed eight pounds and 10 ounces. He was 21 inches.
Tiesi added at the end of the video that he was doing “perfect.”
In January, the “Wild ’N Out” host and Tiesi revealed that they were expecting their first child together – Cannon’s eighth – after photos from their gender reveal party surfaced.
Cannon shares twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey.
After their 2016 divorce, he welcomed Golden and Powerful with Brittany Bell in 2017 and 2020, respectively. Cannon and DJ Abby De La Rosa’s twin boys, Zion and Zillion, arrived in 2021, the same month that Scott, 28, gave birth to Zen, who died of brain cancer at just 5 months old.
